I have 7. The video quality is not bad- not the best either. I purchased this version for my collection and to be able to view at any time since there are no digital versions on my current streaming services.
I will say that it was shrink-wrapped as "new," but I found an old security sticker on it, so not sure what that means. The disc itself is in excellent condition.
I love this movie enough that I can look beyond the flaws in the production company. I had no issues what so ever with purchasing.
This is one my family's absolute "Thinking man's comedies! They HAD it for her, but sadly it was stolen from my rural mailbox. I let the sellers know about the situation.
They really went all out for me, next day delivery the replacement arived. Jennifer's happy, I'm happy, and even if the whole of humanity was almost undone, God Alanis Morissette fixes it.

I'm glad it was a new copy, or at least was packaged to be new. The movie was in pristine condition, played beautifully in my PS4. I can't say how happy I was to sit there and watch this movie that I love so dearly once more.
Dang it now I want to watch Galaxy Quest. This movie is something that the most religious will debate being 'good', and probably any Christian would not like unless they are open-minded The writing is hilarious, and the actors and actresses bring it to life.
This movie has a few Bible-altering theories about whether or not God is a woman or a man, whether or not Jesus was the only child of Mary because face it, Mary and Joseph were together for years!

A demon who cares not whether Earth turns upside down just so as long he doesn't have to go back to Hell. This movie gets pretty epic and dynamic towards the middle, but it's already hilarious when you first start watching it.

One of the earliest outings with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck it tells the story of two disgruntled angels trying to get back to Heaven, and a descendant of Christ.
Of course Alan Rickman steals the show without even trying, with his portrayal of Metatron. I have watched this film a few times now, and still find it funny, thoughtful and downright wacky.

I love it. There is a stellar cast that truly shine as an ensemble and who portray their characters with great ease and professionalism. The script is fantastically funny and thought provoking, posing questions about angels, demons, idols, muses, God, apostles, prochoice, Jesus and the Catholic Church.
If you are open minded you will love this movie however if you are a practicing Catholic, you may find it blasphemous.
I believe that "Dogma" puts religion perfectly in its place in a most humorous way whilst delivering a story that is very entertaining to say the least.
This is my second favourite film from Kevin Smith and co and is still entertaining every time I watch it. If you have a slightly twisted sense of humour and love irony you will really love "Dogma".
Dogma is an excellent film - comic, insightful and dark in equal measure. Brilliantly done and with top notch acting, direction and forethought!
Report abuse. Possibly one of the most bizarre films I've seen in a long time but incredibly clever, well and surprisingly lovably played by Damon and Affleck.
Though the comedic nature of the film is prevelant throughout, you really do get the sense that the writer spent a lot of time working through their own theological issues and debates while putting this script together.
It's fun - and very silly at times - but surprisingly relevant for today's disillusionment and disbelief where religion is concerned.
I would recommend this to anyone with an open-minded sense of humour and a good-natured, easy-going attitude towards theology.

The pricing and rarity get a 2; I don't know the ins-and-outs of Hollywood, but it seems as if this movie didn't get a 'reprint'.
The movie is a comedic masterpiece and if you disagree I can only fathom that your disdain comes from theologic origin or biblical ignorance.
The snarkiness is amazing and the casting is paramount. The writing could only have come from a former Christian confined to a dimly lit room with a heavily annotated NIV bible and a healthy disdain for hypocrisy.
I just watched the entire movie, and it played perfectly. The movie shines in all its 2. Since this movie is not available for purchase on any streaming platform and probably will never be, I decided to spend more than I ever have for a single bluray to upgrade my much viewed dvd copy.
If so and you can get it for a fairly reasonable price, I highly recommend the purchase. It's key to read the disclaimer at the beginning carefully and to watch all the way to the actual end, reading the final end credits.
